Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Optional: 1 teaspoon smoked paprika or other spices for extra flavor
Your favorite toppings (lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, etc.)
Preparation:
In a large bowl, combine the ground bison, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, egg, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using).
Mix until well combined, but do not overwork the meat.
Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
Cooking:
Heat the olive oil or melted butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (internal temperature should be 160°F for medium).
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in the oven or on a skillet.
Assembling:
Place the cooked bison patties on the toasted buns.
Add your favorite toppings.
Serving:
Serve the burgers hot with a side of fries, salad, or your favorite sides.
Enjoy your delicious and hearty grass-fed bison burger!
